Here are two photographs of Stagecoach East Midland “exiles” in the West Midlands on the 2nd January 2010.
K118 SRH was formerly Stagecoach 32118 being new to London Buses Ltd as DRL118. It operated with Chesterfield and Hull Depots.
It is seen operating for “TRAVEL EXPRESS” in Wolverhampton on service 511 between Wolverhampton and Underhill. The bus still carries
the livery and route branding of its former operator “ACL TRAVEL” of Weston-Super-Mare which is now defunct.
L742 LWA was formerly Stagecoach 40742 being new to East Midland Motor Services Limited as 742. It operated with Chesterfield and
Worksop Depots. It is seen operating for “BANGA BUSES” in Bilston on service 530 between Wolverhampton, Bilston and Rocket Pool.
Although it was new and indeed always operated with a manual gearbox with Stagecoach, it is now a fully automatic vehicle.
