A TRANSPIRE website has run for some years in the capable hands of Nathan Cartwright (right). However, in the summer of 2009, two events occurred which put the website's future in jeopardy. Firstly Yahoo who hosted it were giving up that aspect of their business. Secondly, Nathan had applied to go to the University of Central Lancashire, subject to A Level results.

Nathan achieved his grades - congratulations! - so has gone to experience Stagecoach in Lancashire. Good news for Nathan, but not for the TRANSPIRE website! Fortunately, help was at hand.

Neville Whitmore (right centre), who possibly knows more than anyone about buses in Chesterfield (who wishes to challenge that statement?), has agreed to provide the content of the website, though he hopes other enthusiasts will add their pictures and comments.

Oliver Foreman (bottom right), at one time a bus driver in neighbouring Mansfield (not even in Derbyshire - shock horror!!), now runs several websites. He has agreed, through his company Solid Sam, to provide the technical expertise to get the content online and to sort out the hosting.

So, launched on 9 September 2009 is the 'under new management' TRANSPIRE website on www.transpirebus.org.uk. What we need is YOUR input! All the people named above give their time without charge, so we must ask that all contributions are on this basis.
