Below are three pictures I took at the Crich Transport Extravaganza in 1972 when 48 was just out of service with CCT and still had its driver training info displayed.

Neville Whitmore adds (22 February 2010): Very interesting pictures of 48 taken at Crich in 1972. This shows that it was the year of its withdrawal. The double decker in the background (second & third pictures) is also interesting. It is KWT 600 a Daimler CVD6 with a Burlingham body new to Rossie Motors of Rossington , near Doncaster, sadly no longer with us (except perhaps for a bit of the chassis, if it still exists in Marshall's yard at Sutton on Trent near Newark).
