With another fare adjustment coming this weekend, I thought it a good time to pull together in one place details of discounted bus
tickets offered by operators in the Chesterfield area.
Although I have tried hard to be accurate, some of the source information is not very clear and of course is subject to change and human error (no, I won't blame
the computer!). Sorry but please do not hold me

As to the article about Fares, I have picked up a leaflet today about the fare changes on Sunday. The curreent Chesterfield
Dayrider becomes the Chesterfield Dayrider Plus (still at £3 80), whilst a new Chesterfield Dayrider is introduced at £2.60
covering the Chesterfield Megarider zone. This replaces all return fares in this zone. The boundary is extended from
Brimington Ark Tavern to Troughbrook bottom.

Cost for one day's travel:
£8.90 for an adult (plus one child under 16)
£4.45 for a senior citizen (aged 60 or over), a child under 16*, or a holder of a Gold Card or b_line card
£15.10 for a group of up to 2 adults and up to 3 children*
* A dog may travel in place of a child.
Validity:
The Derbyshire Wayfarer is a day rover ticket allowing virtually unlimited bus and train travel throughout Derbyshire for a whole day.
Travel between Derbyshire and Sheffield*, Burton-on-Trent*, Macclesfield*, Leek* and Uttoxeter* is also included.
* Town/city centre (valid on direct journeys to/from Derbyshire only)
Other benefits:
Discounts available at various attractions.
Where to buy it:
Many tourist information centres, bus enquiry offices and, on the day of travel, train stations (including those in Chesterfield) and, on the day of travel, from the driver on most valid bus routes.

Pronto (Chesterfield - Mansfield - Nottingham) is operated jointly by Stagecoach East Midlands and Trentbarton. Whereas in previous
brandings of this route special tickets of both operators were valid, this is no longer the case.
This is our understanding of the current situation:
