THE CHATSWORTH PRESERVED BUS GATHERING, jointly organised by TRANSPIRE and the Chesterfield 123 Preservation Group, takes place this year on Sunday 13 June. It really is an event not to be missed! TRANSPIRE is centred in Chesterfield (the town with the crooked spire!) in Derbyshire, UK, close to the Peak District and the centre of England. The main bus operator for the town is Stagecoach in Chesterfield (part of Stagecoach Yorkshire), though services are also provided by TM Travel (now part of the Wellglade Group), Hulleys of Baslow, Trentbarton (also part of the Wellglade Group), Stagecoach in Mansfield (part of Stagecoach East Midlands), G & J Holmes of Clay Cross and Veolia Dunn Line. Several other bus and coach operators, past and current, large and small, serve or have served the area (such as Chesterfield Corporation Transport) and feature in the pages of the TRANSPIRE website.
