David writes: Well, we left Newcastle amongst mutterings of "we must be mad" and "no one else will turn up" and arrived in Lincoln at 12noon and...... it had stopped raining and buses were running and people were there in decent numbers and riding on buses! The rest of the day was fine and sometimes sunny so it was worth braving the weather earlier on in the day. Steve Morris had brought the pre war Daimler CCX 777 and got so wet during the journey that he had to go and buy a coat as he hadn't got any dry clothing. Lots of buses in service all seeming to run to timetable.
