Summary of entrants information:

1. Entrance fee 3 pounds per vehicle

2. Preserved vehicles invited to enter. Please do not enter any modern vehicle, or bus still in regular service.

3. Sales stall fee 10 pounds with a bus; 15 pounds without. A Chatsworth House ruling is that only transport related items may be sold.

4. We encourage owners to run their buses on the various routes (on private and public roads) as part of the timetabled services available to the public throughout that day.

5. Fully restored buses may be entered for judging.

VISITORS

This is a great day out for all! There is no charge to come in except for Chatsworth House car parking fee (currently two pounds).

Various scheduled bus services serve Chatsworth. Further details here nearer the time.

In addition to enjoying the buses and sales stalls, and the opportunity to take scenic rides on a variety of preserved buses, all the facilities of Chatsworth Park (some at extra cost) are available to you (house, gardens, shops, restaurant, adventure play ground, farmyard etc). Take a look at the CHATSWORTH WEBSITE.

TRANSPIRE

and the

Chesterfield 123
Preservation Group

invite you to join in the

Chatsworth Preserved
Bus Gathering 2010

to be held in Chatsworth Park

on Sunday 13 June 2010

Transpire and the Chesterfield 123 Preservation Group are once again organising the 2010 Chatsworth Preserved Bus Gathering to be held at Chatsworth House on Sunday 13th June 2010. (Please note that this date is determined by the Chatsworth authorities and neither by Transpire nor the 123 Preservation Group.)

The format of the Gathering will be much the same as in previous years (why spoil a winning formula?) which has led to the event becoming one of the premier fixtures in the preserved bus calendar!

It is hoped that the repairs to the house will be completed and this together with additional parking means that there is no entry limit for 2010. Entries are restricted to preserved buses and those "heritage" vehicles from commercial operators.

A big feature of the day will be the free scenic bus services operated to Bakewell and to the local area, with the special bus service along the private road within the grounds of Chatsworth to the Golden Gates upon which special tickets from vintage ticket machines are issued. As in previous years, a wide variety of vehicles will be used on these services.

The entry fee for each preserved vehicle is three pounds, payable in advance when sending in the application form (see opposite). All entrants and their passengers receive a voucher for discounted admission to the house and gardens.

Note that there is no admission fee to Chatsworth Park or to the event (except for car parking). It will be a good day out for all of the family and even if you are not able to come on a preserved vehicle there are excellent local bus services to Chatsworth Park. (Details here nearer the time)

There will also be sales stalls selling transport related items.

Please see panel above right where you are able to print out
further information and an entry form
